Library

Our library is the heart of our academic activities on campus. The library, a veritable treasure house of books, periodicals, and digital resources, is a center of intellectual activity in our institution.

  • The central library built over an area of 10,000 sq. ft. has a computerized book lending desk and documentation area.
  • This ever-growing library has nearly 32,000 books and includes many rare titles as well.
  • The library subscribes to 30 periodicals, 91 national journals, and 68 international journals including 250 journals online.
  • The digital library attached to the reference section has more than 1000 interactive CDs with 10 learner terminals.
  • The library has 300 bound volumes of previous journal volumes and a separate reading area.
  • The library is kept open from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on all working days.
  • The books are bar-coded and the functioning of the library is fully computerized with the latest library automation software.
  • Books can be borrowed from the library on the production of valid user ID cards.
  • The central library has special services like reprography service, IEEE student branch library, etc.
  • The other services provided by the library include lending, reference service, inter-library loans, and internet browsing.
  • A separate digital knowledge centre has been established to enable the users to browse the e-journals, e-learning materials, and other digital library collections.

NSS

  • The first three rank holders of each discipline based on the CGPA.
  • The National Service Scheme is a government of India program, intends to involve students in community service.
  • Nearly 100+ students have enrolled themselves as NSS members in the present batch and we are proud to have given them all support and facilities in this regard. Some of the activities include
  • Blood donation camps and drives to raise awareness.
  • Medical camps in poor and rural areas in the district.
  • Cycle rallies to promote anti-tobacco messages.
  • AIDS awareness programs.

NCC

The college is proud to host 29 NCC cadets. Being an army wing NCC unit, training camps are conducted every year and students are certified upon successful completion of the camps and training.
