The Infant Jesus Group of Engineering Colleges, which includes Infant Jesus College of Engineering and Infant Jesus College of Engineering and Technology, was founded by the Infant Jesus Educational Trust, a charitable minority trust led by esteemed education experts based in Chennai. These colleges aim to produce exceptional students in technical and business fields, equipping them to meet the challenges of a dynamic and rapidly changing world.
IJCE exists today because of the vision, belief, and perseverance of our Founder Chairman, Mr. B. Stephen.
Mr. Stephen aimed to create a modern and competitive educational institution that serves as a catalyst for knowledge empowerment, equipping students with skills for lifetime employability.
With over 32 years of experience in education, he had the perfect background to establish and run an engineering college.
We are dedicated to continuing his vision and mission, turning his dreams into reality.
As the Chairperson of IJCE, I appreciate the efforts and commitment of the college to provide all-round education to our students.

IJCE’s vision is to make the learning process meaningful. This has to be done by keeping cost affordable and infrastructure both physical and academic most up-to-date accessible. To this effect, IJCE’s infrastructure reasonably meets all the requirements of a good Engineering college. IJCE’s mission is to provide an opportunity to all aspiring youngsters, who are considered average due to the fact that they are from the vernacular medium or first generation graduates, to learn and train in engineering and convert these average individual into first rate professionals.
