Infant Jesus College of Engineering excels not only in academics but also in physical development. Our qualified Physical Education Directors provide regular exercise training to ensure students build a strong physique alongside their studies.
The Department of Physical Education provides facilities for maintaining physical fitness and well-being of students to help them go through the rigors of the professional course.
Facilities provided include a multi-purpose playground on the campus to conduct outdoor games such as soccer, football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, cricket, track & field activities, and indoor games like table tennis, badminton, chess, and carom. Intramural and extramural activities are planned to ensure regular participation of the students in games and sports throughout the year, including inter-collegiate tournaments of Anna University.
Multi Gym:
The fitness centre of our college has a facility of a 12-station multi-gym for the male students and a treadmill in the ladies' hostel. The athletes use this facility to build their fitness as part of their sports training programme. IJCE not only nurtures the mind of students, but also makes sure that they are physically healthy and fit. We have a full-fledged health club with a modern fitness centre. This facility helps the students to maintain their physical fitness.
Medical Facility :
A fully-equipped health clinic functions on the campus. The staff and students of IJCE can avail the services of a Doctor (part-time) and Nurse (full-time) during working hours. Medical check-up and ECG facilities are available. The clinic has a link-up with Mission Hospital to meet medical emergencies. Ambulance facility is also provided.
